About the project

An 80-second film that travels from Earth seen from orbit to touchscreens, interiors, waterfalls and an aquarium, connecting everyday moments back to the brand. It gave me a great mix of things to work with: fast-paced abstract montages, beautiful shots held a little longer, and huge rocket take-offs heard from mixed perspectives.

Many of the transitions play out across several shots, and the back end is the strongest part. There, the sound carries from shot to shot by blending similar frequencies. The rocket take-off at around 50 seconds blends into the pan out from a man sitting on a wall to the whole world. A plane bleeds into an ocean splash, which bleeds into the riser. The train in the tunnel is pitched to sit with the music. They’re subtle moments, but they make the film flow as one piece.
